Meg-A Readers 2015 is a month long celebration of all things Meg Cabot, hosted by Mandy from The Romance Bookie and Diana from Little Miss Drama Queen. This is the fourth year of Meg-A Readers, and my first time participating. I’m so excited to share my love for Meg Cabot with the world!
Meg Cabot is my favorite author, and has been since I first discovered The Princess Diaries series. I quickly devoured every one of her YA books that my local library had in its collection. I remember wanting to highlight everything because I couldn’t believe how much I connected with the writing and characters. Size 12 is Not Fat, from her Heather Wells series, was one of the first adult books I ever read, and remains one of my favorites. I just reread the series last summer and loved it just as much as my first read, if not more. I love the humor in Meg’s writing and I find her characters so relatable. I feel like they’re written just for me! Meg Cabot also hails from my home state of Indiana, so I have to thank my library for supporting a local author and allowing me to discover her books right from the beginning.
The first adult installment in The Princess Diaries series is being released on June 2, and in celebration, I am hosting a giveaway!
From Goodreads:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries series, comes the very first adult installment, which follows Princess Mia and her Prince Charming as they plan their fairy tale wedding–but a few poisoned apples could turn this happily-ever-after into a royal nightmare.
For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity, what with living in New York City, running her new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia’s gorgeous longtime boyfriend Michael managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course Mia didn’t need to consult her diary to know that her answer was a royal oui.
But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: Her grandmother’s leaked “fake” wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is trying to force Mia’s father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch. Can Mia prove to everyone–especially herself–that she’s not only ready to wed, but ready to rule as well?
The giveaway is open internationally, to any country where Book Depository ships (Check here to see if your country is available). The winner will be notified by email at the end of the giveaway.

Meg Cabot is like a guilt free pleasure. Her stories somehow break a little bit of society’s awful standards. She feels like a modern feminist sometimes.
I love your blog! Great giveaway!
