Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by. I’m a teacher, reader, blogger, dog lover, Hufflepuff, and abuser of exclamation points from Iowa. I love reading! I lost interest in reading for awhile, and I’m so happy to have rediscovered my first love, books, all over again. From the time I was little until I started college, I read non-stop. My parents took me to my local library every single week, and I’d check out as many books as I could fit in my library bag and read every single one throughout the week. As soon as I learned to drive, I got a job working at that same library. When I left for college, I got so busy with school and friends (and let’s be real, I got a computer) that I completely forgot about my love for reading. It wasn’t until a couple years ago when I spent money on a stack of brand new books (something I had never done before), that I really pushed myself to sit down and immerse myself in a story. I found the book community online, and immediately started falling back in love with reading. And here we are now!
Do you accept ARCs/books for review?
Absolutely. I accept books from all age levels and most genres, but please email me with a summary of the book and I’ll let you know if it’s something I’d like to read and review. I prefer physical ARCs and finished copies over eARCS. I am currently only accepting books that feature diversity for review. Books must include marginalized characters and/or be written by an from a marginalized group.
I also gladly accept adult coloring books for review!

Hey, Amber! My name is Aya, and I am a fellow book blogger/lover at ablessedbrownie.wordpress.com. I was wondering if you’d be interested in participating in a small project that I am doing. I wanted to ask a bunch of bloggers (49, to be exact :p), to give me one of their favorite book quotes. I’m going to compile them all in one post and then post it on my blog on the 22nd of this month. It’d be fantastic if you were to be a part of this. Just let me know by this Sunday, please, so that I have plenty of time to compile and/or ask someone else. Thank you!
P.S. You are the 37th one to be asked!

How cold is Iowa now? 🙂 Can I interest you in my audiobook? It’s about a struggling artist who gets a lifetime commission, but discovers his perfect patron has ulterior motives. It’s very different, it’s very fun, it’s very free. My wordpress site has all the details.
