I did it! I made it through another 24 Hour Readathon!! I fell asleep briefly at a couple different points, but never for longer than 15 minutes at a time. Aaaaand the readathon ended 4 hours ago, and I’m still awake….
The readathon ends at 7AM for me so I usually dive face first into bed as soon as it’s over and don’t resurface until at least noon, but I’m strangely not tired today. I’m sure I’ll crash really early tonight to make up for it.

Thanks in part to the Bookish Bingo Readathon, TBR Takedown, and Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon, I ended up reading 20 books in April! It was also rainy most of the month and that kept me inside a lot more than I expected.
I took part in two readathons last week, and had an AMAZING reading week. Here was my TBR for the week if you missed it. I read seven books in total, three towards my Bookish Bingo challenges, and four for the TBR Takedown challenges.
Here’s what I read for Bookish Bingo:
A Kiss in Time: Flowers on the Cover
The Copper Gauntlet: More Than One Author
Death Note #8: Second Chance
These are the books I read for TBR Takedown 3.5:
Ashen Winter: Catch Up on a Series (4 stars)
Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List: TBR Shelf Over a Year (2 stars)
The Heartbreakers: Most Recent Haul (4 stars)
Torn Away: Standalone (4 stars)
I read a total of 2,237 pages throughout the week! Let me know how you did if you participated. What was the best book you read this week?
I participated in the Bout of Books Readathon last week. The readathon started on Monday and finished yesterday (Sunday). I set some goals for myself before the readathon, and created a tentative TBR for the week.
Here’s how I did.
Goals Completed (All of them!!!!):
Read 1,200 pages I read 1,225!
Complete 4 books Sort of. I finished 3 1/2. and I’m 60% done with my fourth book.
Participate on social media every day in some form I completed every challenge but one, participated in one of the Twitter chats, and posted daily updates on my blog.
Read 2 benchwarmer books (for #AYEARATHON) I did this! Pushing the Limits, One + One = Blue, and Say What You Will were all benchwarmer books.
Have fun! I had lots of fun! I don’t think I’ll set book or page number goals next time though. I stressed myself out this afternoon scrambling to get through 200 more pages to reach my page number goal.
This was my TBR:
- The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
One + One = Blue by M.J. Auch
- Just Visiting by Dahlia Adler
Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern (I read 60%)
Overall I’m really happy with my progress! I read more than I normally do in a week, and that’s always my main goal with any readathon. Plus, I gave every book I read 4 stars and I was able to knock three books off my TBR that I’ve had on my shelf for awhile.
Did you participate in one of the readathons this week? How did you do? Hope you had a fun time!
