Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon!
The spring Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is tomorrow! It’s my favorite readathon, and it’s unique in that everyone starts at the exact same time, no matter where you’re located in the world. For me, it goes from 7am Saturday to 7am Sunday. Check out the full list of start times here. I shared my tips for 24 hour readathons in a separate blog post a couple years ago, so be sure to check that out too if you’re participating.
Last round, I didn’t stay up all night, but I usually do read for the entire 24 hours, and that’s my goal again this round. In fact, I usually don’t even go to sleep on Sunday morning after the readathon ends haha! Most of the time I just power through the day and have a really long sleep on Sunday night.
There are some fun new things happening this round, including a group scavenger hunt, and a goal to reach 1 million pages read!

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon April 2017: Wrap Up
I did it! I made it through another 24 Hour Readathon!! I fell asleep briefly at a couple different points, but never for longer than 15 minutes at a time. Aaaaand the readathon ended 4 hours ago, and I’m still awake….
The readathon ends at 7AM for me so I usually dive face first into bed as soon as it’s over and don’t resurface until at least noon, but I’m strangely not tired today. I’m sure I’ll crash really early tonight to make up for it.

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon April 2017: Updates
It’s readathon time!! I’ve been prepping for weeks, I’m so excited. As with years past, I’ll be updating my progress on this post throughout the readathon. I like to break it down by the hour, but I’ll probably only be updating the post every few hours so that I’m not on my computer so often. If you’re participating, leave me a comment your social media links where you’ll be updating your progress!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram too @bookstacksamber! I’ll be updating my story there throughout the day.

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: Wrap Up
That’s all folks! Even though I took a 20 minute nap at Hour 19 and ended up going to bed at Hour 23, I had a really successful readathon. I did get much more tired this year than last time, but I’m not sure what that was attributed to. Maybe it was the fact that there were a couple days during the week when I had insomnia and didn’t get much sleep, or maybe it was all the junky food I ate (I ate much more healthy snacks last time), or maybe I’m just getting too old to stay up all night!
Here’s what I read:
Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: Updates
Like with last year, I’m going to be updating my progress every hour. However, I’ll only be publishing the update every few hours so that I’m not on my computer constantly. Newest updates will be at the top. Keep checking in if you’re curious how I’m doing 🙂 If you’re updating on your blog, leave the link in the comments so I can stop by!

Tips for 24 Hour Readathons
Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon starts in less than 13 hours!! 24 hours straight is a long time to read, especially when you’re also struggling to stay awake. I’m by no means an expert, but I want to share some tips that have worked for me in the past with long readathons like this.
Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: Goals and TBR
It’s #Readathon time again! This is my second time participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon, and I cannot wait for Saturday to arrive. I had so much fun last April when I participated, and now that I know what works for me and what doesn’t, I’m hoping to have an even more successful Readathon this go around.
